the secret

While the Branch scarf really isn't that complex, I can't tell you how many times I have looked up at the TV and lost where I was in the pattern!  If you've ever frogged mohair, um.  Right.  It's not something one wants to do repeatedly.  Talk about sticky.  I finally had to write out the pattern on graph paper and highlight every 5-block...the other secret to successfully get through the pattern for me is, I must commit to completing 5 rows at a time (well, really 10, but I wasn't including the no-think return rows).  See what can be done when concentrating?

I kind of like the way the end of the scarf isn't straight...I haven't decided whether to block that out or not.

Dontcha just love when you can't put a project down and you're knittingknittingknitting so fast and furious that you find you've come to the end of a first skein and ready to add another?  You then take a look and smile at what you've accomplished so far, until you see that you've forgotten to add an increase at one of the 4 markers...and um, it's FOURTEEN rows back?!!

Yeah. Me neither.

Well, I'm not sure what it is, but first I was addicted to sock making, and now it seems to be scarves...though this will definitely need to be blocked once it's done, the pattern is taking form!

I'm using D&S for this scarf and a size US8s circ.  The pattern said to use straights, but I haven't used straights in months now.
