I made another batch of peach jam tonight (some in smaller jars to share with interested co-workers) and am working on the puff-sleeved sweater. Red plum jam is next on the list...! Wait. What am I going to do with all of this jam?!! Jars upon jars upon jars are starting to stockpile in my cupboard. It's really pretty to look at though. Well, and tasty too of course!

I've knit like a mad woman and made it to the part where you split the sleeves out (yay!). Now I'm trying to figure out where to put the darts since I'm knitting not-to-pattern (eek).
This is why I press on...

I can't wait to get to the point where I sew them to the (hopefully) not wavy or scallopy buttonband.

Finally, we see the jam! Jam makes great xmas presents, if you can store them until then. It's like a little burst of summer in the middle of winter and so very tasty. Maybe next year I will try jam...
The buttons ARE super cutie! Adding grosgrain ribbon helps with the scalloping. I think that color will be easy to match.
If all else fails, sew the darn thing closed and make it a pullover/faux-cardigan, or add a hidden zipper (I did that with my wedding dress to make the buttons on the back lay nice and smooth).

we can make our own dress forms out of duct tape! hahahahahaha It would be totally customized.
*That* would make a good blog post! I may have to start one.

Yum. I want jam!
Do you know that children's book, Bread and Jam for Frances? That's what I thought of when I saw your post! "Jam on biscuits, jam on toast, Jam's the thing that I like most!" :)
