So a few things.
I got my invite for Ravelry! yay! I have one friend. hahahaha! Actually I haven't really been looking much at the site (yet), but I'm wondering how it all works. So far I've only been adding things to the queue. I don't even have my profile updated. Do you have a Ravelry account? Let me know so that I can add you! ^__^
Another thing, the new Rowan mag was on my doorstep when I returned from the Vegas conference! That was kinda fun to come home to for sure...

The last thing, I keep seeing TONS of people knitting baby stuff. Baby stuff looks so fun & addicting!! But, remember these? Okay. I honestly did not want or expect an over-indulging mention of thanks...but I definitely could not have prepared for the reply that I received. Instead of an even lackluster "thanks." I got an extremely condescending "Wowwww. You must have soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much time on your hands if you could knit this." Um. I wanted to say, "No. I wanted your baby to have them, so I set aside time every damn day to work on them until they were finished." I didn't. But, geezus! I was almost done with a matching hat, but after that comment from my friend's wife, I haven't picked it up and am considering frogging the project.

I'm affiknitty on Ravelry (what a surprise, haha)! Look me up!
That person deserves no handknitted gifts. But maybe the baby does. :)

How rude! do you think she realised what she had actually said? I would frog the hat.
Look me up on Ravelry (guernseygal) :-)

Some people just don't get it, do they?!?
I'm "bonitapita" on Ravelry. Be prepared to loose yourself in R for awhile. At least its fun!

Damn! Definitely do NOT give her anything hand knit...the baby would probably never end up wearing it either. Trust me...I have a SIL just like that woman...I've still SO wanted to knit my niece things...but I know they won't be appreciated or worn...dammit
Oh, and I've added you in Ravelry :D

That is as bad as the "I don't wear scarves." I got for a hand-knit lacy shawl!
